As we wrote this book , one question seemed to crop up over and over again, "What is this about?"

There are two possible answers. The first explanation is that Pult is about the limitations of human thought.

Imagine that for one moment you were omnipotent. You knew everything for just one moment. How would

the human mind process the sudden download of information? The knowledge would fold back on itself

and the mind would attempt to fill in the blanks of understanding. Pult is that moment.

The other, and more honest answer, is that Pult is about the rhythm of words. The words,

meanings and images are second to how the words flow together. How they make your mouth and mind

feel while they are being read. Read it out loud to friends, you'll see what we mean. We wanted to make

this visceral literature. WOW! That was artsy!

The end product is more important than the reasons behind its creation. So judge for yourselves.

You have the evidence in your hands. Read it. Love it. Hate it. It doesn't matter as long as it affects you. We wouldn't be so pretentious as to say that we don't care if people hate it. We hope you love reading it as much as we loved writing it. It does, however, make us proud just knowing that out of nothing we made something.
